As we are all probably home right now due to what is currently happening in our world, I felt the need to create and share. These cookies are so delicious and I may have eaten way through quite a a few of them! Although I can’t personally make these cookies for you right now, I hope that you’ll give the recipe a go and that these cookies bring you joy and happiness during this time of uncertainty.
Sea Salt Milk Chocolate Cookies
Ingredients:
250 g All purpose flour
1 tsp of Baking powder
1 tsp of Baking Soda
1 tsp of Sea Salt
225 g of Brown sugar
175 g Granulated sugar
225 g of Unsalted butter melted
1 tbsp of Vanilla extract
1 Cup of Milk chocolate chips (or dark chocolate chips)
1 Egg at room temperature
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 325 F.
- In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and sea salt together and set aside.
- In your mixer bowl, combine brown sugar, granulated sugar, vanilla extract and melted unsalted butter together.
- Attach mixer bowl to your mixer. Use the paddle attachment and mix until everything is combined. Add the egg and continue to mix.
- Once the mixture is fully mixed, add the flour mixture a little bit at a time. Let it combine before adding more.
- Once all the flour has been added and dough is formed, add your milk chocolate chips.
- Freeze dough for 30 minutes.
- Lay out parchment paper on your baking sheet and scoop cookie dough onto the parchment paper (I like to press my cookies as I enjoy a flatter cookie!) and bake for 12 minutes until edges are slightly golden.
- Once the cookies are removed from the oven, immediately sprinkle a touch of sea salt on top.
P.S. we would love to see how your cookies turned out!! Don’t be shy…share with us by emailing hello@briannegabriellecakes.com or show them off on Instagram by tagging us @briannegabriellecakes in your post or on stories (we’ll gladly re-share!) or by using the hashtag #briannegabriellecakes
Stay safe!
